Our Mission

What is the Mission of Helping and Healing Families, Inc.?

Outreach and Intervention in economically, emotionally, and educationally disadvantaged communities throughout the U.S.  Many of these communities are greatly impacted by incarceration.

How Will We Achieve Our Mission? 

By collaborating with community partners, businesses, schools, and individuals that have a passion for social change in their communities.  Using this approach, our goals are to:

• Reduce the number of juveniles and adults that enter the criminal justice system.
• Decrease the number of families (including prison families) in poverty.
• Educate, support, and advocate for “troubled” youth, “high-risk” families, and families currently affected by incarceration.
• Provide quality programs, opportunities, and resources to constituents.
• Facilitate family reunification between offenders and their families to promote offender rehabilitation, and reintegration success.
