Hospitality House

With an anticipated Grand Opening in the late fall of 2009, the Hospitality House will provide overnight weekend accommodations for prison families traveling to Sacramento, CA / Folsom area prisons.

The hospitality house would be a place where inmate families could gather and enjoy each other’s company, without fear of being judged, or feeling belittled, or discriminated against.  It would also be a place where families could obtain information on inmate and visitor rights’, resources to help them and their children, and a place where they could come to get a listening ear, and a comforting friend during their times of loneliness.

The Hospitality House will exist to promote visits between inmates and their loved ones, who may not visit regularly because of severe financial strain (travel costs, hotel costs, meals).  The Hospitality House will be donation-based.

To assist families staying overnight at the Hospitality House, transportation services will be provided to and from the prison for a small fee.

All proceeds from the Hospitality House will be used for the Operations of the House, as well as for HHF programs.
